365 | Week 15 & 16

Pretty excited that I have taken a photograph every single day for more than 100 days!

I was hoping I would have started to get a little more creative by this point but sadly I haven’t what I have learnt is that I need to make time for that, simply snapping a photo isn’t helping me grow.

Regardless, I am super thankful for documenting our every day moments on a more regular basis; after all these are the moments I want our photo albums filled with!

    • Thanks! Every year I put together a photo book for that year, I love having images of our every day spread throughout the book (not just the ones documenting our travels & adventures) its so fun to look at and remember those little every day things

    • I have a canon 6D! I used to have a rebel T2i which I loved a lot I just eventually out grew it and upgraded to the full frame!

    • Thanks! Clio was really rocking the lighthouse…I think she has learnt a few tricks from her sister!

  1. Well, you can find creativity in your shots. Although I did give up, I have gone over the photos I have taken and discovered things about the way I shoot as well as how I tend to have certain angles I stick to which I need to break free of. I noticed the last photo is very creative and you should take a second look at it. I love it, personally i would have crop in more to remove all the negative space above Eden’s head so that the spilt is almost in the middle of the frame that way real Eden is in the upper thirds and reflection Eden is in lower thirds. And would make it a balanced shot do to the reflection right in the middle. Unsolicited advice there, but just take a look at it again. 🙂

I did find that having a goal helps with creativity. So, once we get settled in our new home I plan on tackling a new personal project with the theme being centered around motherhood. I’m really excited to get started. I’m thinking of a shot list.

      • YESSSSS!! See now that makes the photo much more impactful. Although I think you did a good job with the original. I always do a lot of self editing over and over. Sometimes all it takes is a little crop to make a photo super creative. Let’s just not talk about my cell photos…those are mostly terrible lol.

I can’t wait to share it. I’m building my shot list still. 🙂 I can’t wait till we are all settled in the new place to begin shooting. 🙂

  2. Dirty feet, cartoon crying at the catering truck and sister togetherness in the loo. Priceless. We are one of the benefactors of your work–thanks.

    • They are pretty cute together thats for sure… they are currently snuggled up in our bed thanks to typhoon Chan Hom!

  3. As always, love the pics. You always pick such interesting angles, definitely a gift. I love the contrast you got in Clio’s moods. By the way, those are not dirty feet. Have a boy and then you will know truly dirty feet. 🙂

    • Thanks Cathy! haha funny about boys and dirty feet, although I would say these are quite clean for Clio! On the plus side the past few weeks she has wanted to wear shoes a lot more than in the past…progress!
