Walking the Streets of Penang | Malaysia

There were 2 reasons why I wanted to visit Penang, Malaysia; the first was for the food!

I had heard that the street food and hawker centres were some of the best & honestly they were.  I can’t tell you how many samosas I ate while in Penang but I haven’t stopped thinking about them and would easily return to Penang just for the food!

The second reason I wanted to visit was for the street art.  The UNESCO heritage site of Georgetown is known for its amazing street art.  You can even pick up a map which outlines where all the ‘official’ pieces are.  While I loved seeing these pieces, because quite frankly they are amazing, it was the “un-official” pieces that we stumbled upon that I enjoyed the most.

Here is just a sampling of what you’ll find if you wander the streets of Georgetown.
